Your cycle is carefully monitored. After the procedure, you rest, recover, and return home — compensation processed, heart full.
Every month, your body selects a group of eggs that begin developing together. Of that entire group, only one reaches full maturity. The rest stop developing and disappear naturally with your period — every month, whether you donate or not. Donating does not take anything from your future. Those eggs were already going to be lost.
Before anything begins, the cycles of the donor and recipient are coordinated. In some cases, oral contraceptives are taken for a few weeks to align the timing precisely.
You begin self-administering hormone injections (FSH) once a day, usually in the evening. Very fine subcutaneous injections that most donors describe as completely manageable.
3 to 4 clinic visits for transvaginal ultrasounds and blood tests. The medical team monitors follicle growth and adjusts medication if needed. All appointments covered by us.
One final injection — the trigger shot — which triggers final maturation of the eggs. The retrieval procedure is scheduled exactly 36 hours later.
Performed under light sedation — you are asleep, with no pain — and fully outpatient. A very fine ultrasound-guided needle gently aspirates the fluid from each follicle.
Most donors return to normal routine the following day. Some mild bloating is normal and temporary.
A final check-up confirms everything is perfect. Your cycle returns to normal. Your fertility is intact. And somewhere in the world, a family has been given the greatest gift — because of you.
